Gone Boating

Our First 2 nights we stayed just outside of Bangor right by the airport. The first 3 pictures are from along route 11 and route 1. We have now officially been as far south (Florida Keys) and as far North (Ft. Kent, Maine) on Rt. 1 as you can go. We do have some of the middle ground to cover yet. We did however go from the northern most point to Acadia NP and then followed it from Acadia down to Cape Cod. Although we did cheat a little and use Rt. 95 some of the time b/c the camper and truck were just a bit difficult going through some of the smaller towns and going around the "rotary" at the center of town. So we opted for Interstate some of the time. Rt. 1 also follows Rt. 95 for a pretty good distance as well.

Anyway, the rest of the pictures are from Acadia NP on Mount Desert Island and Acadia NP on Frenchman's Bay. The picture of the moose and the sunset pictures are on the way back to the campground after going to Frenchman's Bay. As nice as the sunset pictures look here, you'll have to realize 2 things. One, I was standing on a 4 lane highway while taking those pictures and 2 we were on the east coast taking pictures of the sunset over the ocean. You can figure out the logistics of that for yourselves. :)

No one has even questioned how I got a picture of the sunset over the ocean while on the east coast.
