Colorado/Utah 2004
Headed out west Friday after work. The rest is documented in the following pages.
West Coast 2003
From Chicago we headed to Seattle Washington. Heck of a drive. From there we went to Mount Ranier and Olympic National Park. Second leg of our trip was to Crater Lake area of Oregon. Then it was on to Redwood National Forest in Northern California.
From Redwood, we headed to Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks.
East Coast 2001
From Chicago,we headed east to the Addirondacks. We explored that area for a couple of days before heading on to Vermont. Explored that area for a day or two and then made our way into Maine. Went to the northern most point of Rte 1 in Maine, took that down to Acadia National park. Spent a couple of days there enjoying lobster and fresh seafood. Next it was on to Cape Cod. We stayed there two nights. It was a very enjoyable trip. Pictured to the left is a sunset taken from a peninsula looking back toward the mainland.
Storm Chasing Tour 2003
We went on a Violent Skies Storm tour in May 2003. We had a great time. So much so, we're going back this year.
First part of the trip was uneventfull with regards to the weather. However, the last two full days more than made up for any sun that we had. If you've ever been interested in seeing violent storms and learning about them, this is definitely worth looking into.
Willow Slough
Some pictures of Willow Slough Wildlife Area with the lake completely drained. The lake is about 1200 acres and was drained so they could repair the dam.
Storm trip 2006
Trip number 4 was less eventful but still fun and entertaining. We did manage to find a little weather on the last day of the trip.
