June 7th 2008 Chase - Frankfort Illinois (success)
Update 6/7/2008: Local chasing picked up today in quite impressive fashion. 6/7/2008 Tornado chase. Not to brag but there would have been more pictures as I followed this cell further North East and into Indiana but I happened upon someone in dire need and stopped to help them. It was far more rewarding saving a horse than a few more photographs would ever be. Though now I need to clean out my winch and truck pretty bad but... Three seperate tornadoes photographed on the ground in three seperate locations following the same storm for about an hour.
May 30th 2008 - Champaign Illinois (bust)
While 2008 has been a very active storm season, nothing close to home has made it kind of boring. 5/30 finally gave up something close enough to try for after work. Although 5pm was, as it turns out, just a little too late to get started. Most stuff was either 30 miles south or 30-40 minutes before I got there and to the west near Springfield.
